Adam Reitsma

Restaurant Chef

Chef Adam’s culinary career spans over 15 years, but his passion for cooking began as a very young boy cooking with his grandmother: “To this day the scent of raw potatoes brings happy memories of mornings with Grandma in her bright, sunny kitchen cooking together at her lime-green, boomerang patterned countertops.”

After stints as Kitchen Manager at a marina and a restaurant in downtown Mankato, MN, Adam attended the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY while gaining on the job experience at a Hudson Valley catering company and a local chocolatier. Following his education, he returned to his home state of Minnesota to join the Mankato Golf Club as Sous Chef for 4 years. Most recently, Adam worked for 4 years as Executive Sous Chef of the US Bank Stadium for the Minnesota Vikings in Minneapolis where he managed catering and food service for world-class events including Super Bowl LII, the NCAA Men’s Final Four and the ESPN Summer XGames. Additionally, his expertise was often enlisted to lead a traveling Task Force team in support of events at other major-league sporting venues and arenas including Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High.

Adam is proud of his position as Restaurant Chef of Harvester Kitchen by Bryan where he will lead the culinary team to create outstanding, innovative American cooking. He is energized that the design and relaxed style of the restaurant will include welcoming guests to visit him in the kitchen to add to their memorable dining experience at HK. In his time away from the kitchen, Adam relaxes by tending his miniature rose collection, hiking, fishing and traveling.
